Katie W. Cohen
Katie Cohen began her legal career as a corporate associate at the international law firm of Heller Ehrman LLP. After more than five years at Heller Ehrman, Ms. Cohen left the firm to pursue a solo practice. Ms. Cohen has represented new and established businesses in a wide range of corporate matters, including entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, private financings, contracts and general corporate counseling. She has serviced clients in the pharmaceutical, medical device, information technology, telecommunications, restaurant, health care and personal service industries, among others.
Ms. Cohen teaches a monthly workshop entitled “Legal Issues in Business” at the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) - North San Diego County. The SBDC, which is supported by the U.S. Small Business Administration, is on the campus of MiraCosta College in Oceanside, California. Ms. Cohen graduated magna cum laude from UCLA, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She received her J.D. from New York University School of Law.
Ms. Cohen is admitted to practice only in California and maintains an office in San Diego.
